#The Complete Scholarship Guide for Studying in India (2026)

Most students don't realize how much scholarship money is actually available at India's leading private universities. Here's the full playbook.

#1. SAARC & Merit Scholarships (Board-Result Based)

Almost every partner university awards scholarships on your qualifying board results:

  • Manav Rachna (MRIIRS) — SAARC structure: 60% on STEM, up to 70% on non-STEM for GPA 4.0+
  • K.R. Mangalam, CGC University, Shoolini — up to 60% merit awards
  • Chandigarh University — 35% for 45–50% marks, 50% for 50%+ marks
  • Bennett & Sharda — up to 50% merit slabs
  • Adamas University — a standing 25% international scholarship

#2. Entrance-Test Scholarships

Several partner universities run their own entrance tests (for example CUCET at Chandigarh University, SUAT at Sharda, and GEEE at Galgotias) and use the result as an additional scholarship route alongside board marks. Whether a test applies to your programme and intake changes year to year — ask SIAC before you register for one.

#3. Programme-Specific Awards

Scholarship slabs are usually set per school, not per university. Noida International University, for instance, publishes different percentages for engineering, nursing, business, law, and liberal arts than for design, sciences, pharmacy, education, and journalism. Always check the slab for your exact programme.

#4. What SIAC Does

SIAC does not award scholarships. What we do is read the current published scholarship policy of each partner university, match your marksheets against it, and file your documents so the highest slab you qualify for is applied — then get the university's decision to you in writing.

#5. Conditions to Read Before You Accept

  • Most merit scholarships apply to tuition only, not hostel or other charges.
  • Continuation each year usually depends on maintaining a required CGPA and attendance.
  • At LPU, a scholarship applies to your first programme only.
  • The final award always rests with the university's admission committee.

Contact SIAC on WhatsApp with your marksheets — we'll map every scholarship you qualify for before you apply.
